decomposition
:
It pains me to see how Kids Central has decomposed.
I'm not using that word wrongly.
In chemistry it refers to the breaking down of a large molecule into smaller molecules or atoms and is referred to as chemical decomposition.
Well...maybe I am then. -.-
Kids Central is dead.Believe it.
I remember when I was the age for watching KC.
I'd switch on the teavee, and watch stuff about stories from the other side of the world and beyond.
I'd know how the Africans think,or how Native Americans worked, and things like that.
Or it'd be some stop-motion show about a Doctor Otter going about his neighbourhood to help his people.
Or the extremely unappreciated (by people i've asked) between-show filler where there'd be this woman singing italian opera and fruits/vegetables cutting themselves up and putting themselves into animal shapes. That was kinda cute.
Then there was the downright irritating Mamemo. That genderless person with blonde curly long hair and a red jumpsuit. And his/her green cow transformable brother/sister and green cow parents.Living among SHEEP.Who don't discriminate against them. How nice.
According to their website, they were supposed to show the world through the eyes of a child.
Not happening.
But it was still good if you compare it to The Now.
Take the weekend shows.
Aren't weekend shows supposed to be the best shows of the week?
Far from it.
The following is taken from the KC telly guide for the week. And other sources.
8:00 AM
Henry's World II - Henry's Little Adventure / Henry The Cook
Join Henry and his friends on their carrot-fuelled adventures in the first stop-motion animated series ever entirely produced in Canada.
Henry's World is the extraordinary story of Henry Wiggins, an eight-year-old boy who has amazing powers whenever he eats his mother's mushy carrots. Carrots are Henry's genie in a bottle. Once eaten, he can do incredible and outlandish things that most of us can only dream about, like hurtling to Pluto or tunnelling through the earth.
But Henry's powers are a recipe for adventure… and disaster. Because he doesn't fully understand his gift and can't always control it, his unusual wishes are often granted with unexpected consequences.
Henry's powers remain a secret to all but his best friends – Fraidy Begonia, his pet dog Margaret and Doris the Dinosaur – who often fall victim to his misadventures. Everyone else in Henry's hometown remains blissfully unaware of Henry's powers, which are turning their world topsy-turvy.
8:30 AM
Clifford - Great Race / Tummy Trouble
Designed for children ages 3-7, the animated television series is based on the books of the same name and uses classic storytelling to present universal social, emotional, and moral messages to young children. These fun-filled episodes follow Clifford and his pals (both canine and human) as they play, discover and interact with each other and the inhabitants of Birdwell Island, learning that good friends are what life is all about. The stories are fun, gentle and kid-relatable — they deal with issues that kids are experiencing: whether it's bragging, not wanting to share or learning that telling the truth is the best policy. More importantly, though, they learn that the world is out there to be discovered with gusto.
(okay...it's still early...this is understandable...)
9:00 AM:KCDC TIME!!!During this time the primary school kids roll their butts out of bed and start applying superglue on their eyes.
(They don't phrase it that way...)
(No prizes for guessing why the KCDC hosts have to say "Thank you SO MUCH for joining us today!")
9:00 AM

(I nearly died looking at the name of this show.Sounds really really really lame.At least they could have the heart to choose a shorter name.)
10:30 AM
Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius
"Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" tells the inter-stellar saga of a super-intelligent pre-teen boy inventor and his robot dog, Goddard. Together they undertake a daring rescue mission, battle evil aliens, save the Earth, and, perhaps most importantly, return home in time for dinner.
(Falling asleep yet?I used to think I'd grow into these shows, but it seems I've long grown out of them.)
11:00 AM
Pokemon Sr 8
(No explanation needed.Arguably one of the best shows in the entire broadcast.)
11:30 AM
Masked Rider 555
An organisation known as Smart Brain is trying to take over the world using a force known as Orphenochs. Orphenochs are beings that evolved from humans when they die or are killed by Orphenochs. Not all humans evolve into Orphenochs and those that don't will wither away into ashes. Smart Brain however knows that this evolution process is flawed due to a genetic defect and that only with the help of the Orphenoch King would they be able to substain their Orphenoch forms. The Orphenoch King's whereabouts are unknown and in order for the King to mature, he must absorb a large number of Orphenochs and at his sub-concious stage, he would be weak and unable to defend himself against attackers. Thus 3 belts were engineered for Orphenochs to protect their king. However, once the Orphenoch King awakens that would be the end of humanity as we speak. The once President of Smart Brain ( who is the Goat Orphenoch ) did not want this to happen and sent out these 3 belts to his foster children so as to combat this menance to humanity. But little did they know that they have been protecting the Orphenoch King all along....
(555?Isn't that the number for notebooks?Ah well...First Masked Rider Ryuuki, and now this.)
(Japanese dubbed live action shows seem immensely popular on Kids Central now...)
(end irritating KCDC segment)
12:00 PM
Justirisers - Glen Sword
(No info found on this show. And I thought "Kids Central features local as well as internationally acclaimed children's programmes 47.5 hours on weekdays and 13 hours on weekends."If the shows are so "internationally acclaimed" then why can't any info be found on them?!)
12:30 PM

(This sounds stupid enough without those cream-puff-looking three flying things.)
1:00 PM
Teen Titans III - Trust
(nice.probably the best there is here.one of the only things worth watching.)
1:30 PM
The Batman II - A Fistful Of Felt
(For DC fans.Period.)
- end transmission -
Understand now?Kids Central is now worse for wear.It used to be mainly for primary school children, but it seems more inclined towards those in the transitional age between preschool and primary school now than before.
I pity the younger generation.Academically smarter, but a more bored bunch.
It's a bit freaky being born in the dead center of the iGeneration.
